D. Navinchandra Jewels (DNJ) was founded by five entrepreneurs in the year 1969. The company ascended to the top of the Indian diamond industry with it’s global distribution of Belgium sourced diamonds and state of art diamond cutting facilities in Gujarat.
To achieve De Beers Sightholder status in a short span of time is a rare feat. This achievement of DNJ was within 11 years of establishment. Direct diamond sourcing from other mining giants like Rio Tinto’s Australian Argyle mine and Canadian Diavik mines in the late 1990’s was another achievement that streamlined production capacity.
Soon, DNJ branched out to Mumbai, jewelry manufacturing facilities and becoming the first factory in India to be certified by the Responsible Jewellery Council. Our key strengths lie not only in directly sourcing competitively priced diamonds but also in creating bespoke product lines for each of our global clients.
Today, with over 1000 members in its fine jewelry division alone, the company is in the reins of it’s third generation, led by Mr. Punit Mehta. DNJ aims to adapt and respond to the ever-evolving needs of the industry by maintaining a creative edge that filters through to the global market. Innovation is the signature of the business.
